Tomáš Tatar (born December 1, 1990) is a Slovak professional ice hockey player for the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League. He was selected by the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Tatar was selected 60th overall in the second round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Red Wings.[1] He was also drafted 15th overall in the first round of the 2009 KHL Entry Draft by SKA St. Petersburg. After signing an entry-level contract with the Wings Tatar played for affiliate the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League (AHL).[2]
Tatar scored his first NHL goal in his first game, on December 31, 2010 against Dwayne Roloson of the New York Islanders,[1] scoring a game-tying goal in the third period.[3]
